You’re reading the results of the first dose of this. This book and associated website are actually the culmination of twelve years of thinking, of jotting down ideas and refining them. The broad-brush ideas were committed to paper in 1990 but it has taken a further decade for the price of fuel and the level of concern about the issues to reach the level at which the project stands a chance of being acted on.
