Vehicles: Hand-carts
Sack Trolley
A stack of containers, up to six feet high can be transported by hand using a simple “sack trolley” or “hand cart” which is tilted backwards slightly and pushed on two wheels. These trolleys either fold or can be slotted into holders on the back or sides of the delivery vans and taken off when needed. These allow one man to take a stack of boxes from the van to several neighbouring houses or to a shared DeliveryCabinet.
The back of the trolley incorporates some latches similar to those used on the DeliveryPost and these help to keep the stack of boxes stable and safe as the trolley is pulled up and down kerbs or steps.
Pallet Trolley
For moving larger stacks of containers a trolley with hydraulic lift is provided – similar to a pallet trolley but again, preferably with mating components that lock a stack of containers onto it securely when required.
