Overview
To understand what it feels like to have a localnet service, I’ve imagined a number of people of different ages, occupations and interests and described in a fictional narrative how their lives are affected by the service. The first of these, middle-aged, married with kids living down a country lane - let’s call him “Chris” - bears a striking resemblance to the author - and indeed, this is my personal vision of roughly how I and my family would use localnet.
Chris's story is more detailed than the others and covers a lot of the common services that affect everyone. It should therefore be read by everyone as a starting point. Then click on the name of other “case studies” that have things in common with you and those around you - your parents, children and friends.
